Flowers or flower (Latin: flos) is sexual reproduction in flowering plants (divisio Magnoliophyta or Angiospermae, "seed plants closed"). In flowers are the reproductive organs, the stamens and pistils.

Flowers can appear singly or together in a series. The flowers appear together referred to as compound interest or inflorescence. In some species, compound interest can be regarded as a flower lay (singular), eg in Anthurium and sunflower. The units that make up the compound interest rate is called a floret.

In botany, flowers are the parts of the plant to produce seed. Pollination and fertilization take place in flower. After fertilization, the flower will grow further to form fruit. In flowering plants, the fruit is a structure that carries and protects seeds.
